Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama in Montgomery is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in Med/Oncology. You will assist RNs, LPNs and physicians with routine tasks and non-complex patient care, aligned with unit needs and patient safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA program completion or HOSA preferred, and BLS; prior clinical rotation or patient-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nurse Student or 1 year of patient care experience in acute care, nursing home or home care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs, LPNs and physicians in the patient care process.
• Support routine and non-complex patient care tasks as part of the care team.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.
