Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician (Oncology) to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patients, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while supporting vital signs, mobility, and personal care.

Qualifications

BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
Keeping patient areas clean and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
