Job summary

You should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a healthcare-related program, and at least 1 year of clinical experience; BLS and CMA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Healthcare-related program completion such as Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in person and by phone in a professional, courteous manner.
• Registers patients and verifies demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Schedules appointments, tests, and referrals according to clinic protocols.
• Communicates patient messages between patients and providers for timely follow-up.
• Documents patient interactions and test results in the EMR accurately.
• Assists patients, nurses, and care team with patient flow and clinical support.
• Obtains and records vital signs per established guidelines.
• Collects patient history related to chief complaint for provider evaluation.
• Performs point-of-care testing under supervision and ensures proper quality control.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains cleanliness of clinical and administrative areas.
