Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (RN) to oversee nursing functions and patient care across Downtown, Stone Oak, and Southern San Antonio locations. The role emphasizes clinical oversight, staffing, and cost controls within budget while upholding high standards in oncology care.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure, 5+ years nursing with 3+ in oncology, and leadership experience. CPR is required; oncology certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Minimum 5 year actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current or pending oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all nursing activities and patient care within budget.
• Oversees clinical operations for nursing support activities.
• Ensures adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics.
• Maintains nursing coverage and operating costs within budget.
• Ensures operations align with organizational objectives.
• Monitors patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
• Coordinates staff training and in-services; supports evaluations.
• Mentor/preceptor to less experienced nurses; other duties as assigned.
