Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Clinical Nurse Supervisor to lead and manage the Oncology Nursing team on-site. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 3+ years of nursing experience, and at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. OC N and Chemo-Bio certifications are required, with two critical licenses obtained at hire.

Relocation may be involved for qualified candidates. The supervisor will manage staffing, performance evaluations, education, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least three years of nursing experience with one year in nursing leadership.
• OCN certification is required and Oncology Nurse Society Chemo-Bio certification must be obtained within nine months.
• Current unrestricted nursing license and BLS are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department management including performance evaluations, interviewing, hiring, and counseling.
• Oversee timecards, schedules, and attendance for all clinical staff.
• Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and safety goals auditing and reporting.
• Coordinate staff education and onboarding with the Oncology Educator.
• May act as preceptor to new staff and supervise scheduling of RNs, MAs, LPNs, and others.
• Investigate patient care incidents and counsel staff accordingly.
• Ensure patient satisfaction surveys are reviewed and addressed.
• Support infusion and oncology admissions and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Balance clinical and managerial duties and provide leadership in high-stress situations.
