Job summary

USA Health is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our oncology team in Alabama. The role handles follow-up care, patient communication, and direct nursing care including chemotherapy under supervision.

You will develop care plans, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, support patients and families, and contribute to cancer research. Licensure in Alabama or eligibility within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
• NPC - Certified Nurse Practitioner in Alabama on hire.
• Alabama NP licensure on hire or PA licensure within 60 days.
• Comparable education/experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• See follow up patients from hospital in the clinic setting.
• Take patients calls and discuss results with patients and families.
• Provide direct nursing care including chemotherapy and oncology treatments.
• Create individualized care plans under supervision and supervision.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to share expertise.
• Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatment expectations.
• Charts patient response to treatment and medications.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
