Job summary

Novant Health in Matthews, NC is seeking a Registered Oncology Nurse to lead and coordinate care for cancer patients in an outpatient setting. You will partner with physicians, APPs, and the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans while educating patients and families.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, oncology experience preferred, and certification such as OCN/BMT within 30 months of employment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• 1–2 years nursing experience, preferably oncology.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN, BMT) within 30 months of employment with signed OCN education agreement, required.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; refresher course if license inactive for five years or more.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; knowledge of policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Educating patients and caregivers about treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.
