Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join the Saint Anthony Medical Center oncology program in Rockford, Illinois. This advanced practice provider will collaborate with oncologists, APPs, infusion nurses, pharmacists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care for adult cancer patients.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• One year of advanced practice provider experience.
• Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure or eligibility.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileging.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists.
• Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatments.
• Monitor treatment response, toxicities, and disease progression.
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship care.
• Coordinate care with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary services.
• Provide symptom management and supportive oncology care.
