Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Medical Office Laboratory Assistant for the Medical Oncology team. This PRN/Occasional role involves venipuncture, processing clinical specimens, and maintaining patient records for waived and moderately complex testing within the POL.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Registration and phlebotomy skills or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Registers patient accounts and ensures proper patient identification and billing accuracy.
• Collects venous blood samples following collection procedures and uses aseptic technique.
• Uses EMR to manage patient schedules, test orders, and results.
• Maintains patient records and ensures proper documentation of tests and results.
