Job summary

Orlando Health Cancer Institute in Florida is a comprehensive cancer program with six treatment sites and more than 10 locations serving the region’s oncology needs. A team of professionals delivers personalized care with advanced therapies and participates in research studies and clinical trials.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support scheduling, pre-registration, patient care, and coordination of provider assignments in a busy oncology setting, with a full‑time schedule and day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training or at least one year of verifiable MA work experience.
• Maintains BLS and applicable MA certifications (CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Enter medication, lab and diagnostic orders into the EMR under provider direction.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow within the practice.
• Greet patients, obtain demographics, and support pre-visit/pre-registration tasks.
