Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Brock Cancer Center Radiation Oncology/Ambulator Unit in Norfolk, Virginia. This full-time, day-shift position may rotate hours from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. based on patient load.

The ideal candidate will perform patient care and administrative tasks under the direction of the clinical team, with a requirement to obtain MA certification within nine months. A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification within nine months of hire is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative tasks under supervision.
• Collaborates with physicians, NP/PA, RN, or LPN as directed.
