Job summary

Advocate Health’s Aurora Medical Group in Wisconsin seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support oncology clinics across multiple sites. You’ll handle clinical and administrative tasks, schedule care, and maintain patient safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient prep, assisting providers, administering vaccines and meds, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with care teams to ensure compassionate, high-quality patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
