Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 36-bed Oncology Med/Surg unit. You will deliver direct patient care, administer chemotherapy and other treatments, monitor progress, and educate patients and families in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

This full-time role offers 3-12 hour shifts per week (days 7a–7p) with rotating weekends and holidays, 36 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, PTO and

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments as prescribed by the oncologist.
• Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and side effects of treatments.
• Assess and document patient symptoms, responses to treatment, and overall health status.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatment plans, side effects, and care at home.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure safe administration of medications and treatments, following protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assist with procedures such as port access, blood draws, and IV insertion.
• Advocate for patient needs and provide a high level of compassionate care.
• Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Stay current with oncology nursing best practices, protocols, and continuing education.
