Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Oncology Med Surg unit. You will support Registered Nurses by providing hands-on care, monitoring patients, and assisting with daily needs to promote comfort and safety.

As part of a collaborative nursing team, you will help with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while contributing to infection control and a positive patient experience in a large hospital setting in El Paso, TX.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
