Job summary

Under supervision, you will prepare patients, manage lab documents, and process results for charting while ensuring safety and adherence to CLIA guidelines. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered and documents results per QA program.
  • Performs specimen analysis of chemistry, hematology, and immunology as directed.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and ensures viability for testing.
  • Preps patients as necessary (e.g., taking vital signs) and assists with testing procedures.
  • Sends specimens to reference labs for tests not done in-house and processes results for charting.
  • Updates and files daily paperwork, lab logs, and maintenance logs.
  • Operates and maintains designated laboratory equipment.
  • Follows CLIA guidelines and safety/quality assurance standards.
  • Disposes of hazardous materials and maintains a clean lab environment.
