Job summary

Mercy is hiring in Missouri to provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process, coordinating with departments and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. A nursing degree and state license are required, with CPR certification or intent to obtain within 90 days, and oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include evaluating care effectiveness, port of care duties, self-organization, and working within Mercy's mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; knowledge of nursing principles and skills, exams, procedures, medications and patient education.
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment; state license required.
• Experience in Oncology is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
