Job summary

Texas Oncology in Bastrop, TX, is seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

The role may be filled at Level 1, Level 2, or Sr based on candidate experience, offering growth opportunities within a fast-paced oncology setting. You will work with a collaborative team, deliver high-quality patient care, and contribute to our mission of providing cancer care close to home.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license in practicing state and current registration.
• 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
• Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
• Administer medications/blood products using correct dose, route, time and technique.
• Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
• Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient/labs, protocol, and dosage with physician input.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central lines/catheter devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
• Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.

Education

BSN preferred

RN license current state registration

0-3 years nursing experience; oncology preferred
