The Infusion RN will work in a moderately paced oncology clinic, focusing on solid tumors with chemotherapy administration and patient education. The unit features 18 chairs and 2 rooms, with day shifts typically starting in the morning and lasting 5–6 hours per cycle.

The position requires 1 year of infusion experience, BLS certification, and CA nursing licensure; chemo certification is preferred. Expect collaboration with pharmacy, nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Chemo certification preferred (OCN)
• Infusion center experience required
• Knowledge of central line care and chemotherapy administration
• Monitoring and interpreting lab values in oncology patients
• Starting IVs and port access skills
• Patient and family education and support

Responsibilities

• Treat solid tumors in an infusion clinic.
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse effects.
• Manage cytotoxic spills safely and dispose of waste properly.
• Monitor patient status, interpret lab values, and respond to changes.
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support.
