Job summary

Infirmary Health in Alabama is seeking an infusion nurse to perform chemotherapy and infusion administration, assist physicians, and provide patient education. The role includes information gathering, sample collection, and patient follow-up to ensure quality care.

Candidates should have ADN, current BLS, and Alabama RN licensed; a Multi-State license per NLC is acceptable. ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy provider card must be obtained within 6 months, and OCN within 24 months; ACLS may be required

BLS

One of the following:

• Current Alabama RN license
• Current Multi State RN license in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card (ONS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or placement into position

Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) must be obtained within 24 months of hire or placement into position

ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration

Desired Qualifications

BSN/MS degree in Nursing

1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy

Licensure, Registration, Certification

ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population
