Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee the 24/7 operations of a nursing unit, providing leadership, supervision, and coordination of patient care.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with active RN license in the US.
• Experience with leadership and staff supervision in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 24/7 unit operations and cover for other nurse managers as needed.
• Direct orientation, training, and development of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve care delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory standards and SOPs.
• Lead practice improvements and evidence-based programs within the unit.
