Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or MSN from an accredited college of nursing; ADN holders may qualify with additional time.
• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact multistate license.
• BLS certification required or strongly preferred; ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certificate within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapies and meds per orders and protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after treatments.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, side effects, and self-care.
• Coordinate care with providers, pharmacists, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Provide age-appropriate care and effective communication with patients and families.
• Develop and revise care plans; teach patients about health problems and care needs.
• Perform nursing interventions safely and according to established plans and protocols.
• Address risk and safety, following state nurse practice rules and hospital policies.
• Manage shift handoffs with SBAR communications.
