Job summary

City of Hope Orange County is seeking a Clinical Practice Education Specialist to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes through evidence-based education in chemotherapy and infusion therapies. The CPES will audit needs, develop competency programs, and mentor staff across infusion and treatment settings.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
Current California RN license is required.
Minimum of three years oncology experience.
Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
Minimum of one year in education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and evaluates orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education for nursing staff.
Provides clinical mentorship and bedside education to infusion staff.
Designs evidence-based education to promote safe chemotherapy administration.
Evaluates educational program effectiveness using outcomes and feedback.
Collaborates with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve practice.
