Qualificações

• Requires Master’s degree in nursing and Iowa ARNP license.
• Specialized education in cancer genetics/hereditary cancer predisposition.
• Minimum three years of oncology nursing or genetic counseling experience.

Responsabilidades

• Establish rapport with patients, families, and referring physicians.
• Provide pre- and posttest genetic counseling for hereditary cancers.
• Conduct cancer risk assessments and prepare reports for physicians.
• Order labs and screening tests; interpret results and refer to specialists.
• Educate patients and community about genetics and hereditary cancers.
• Document care plans and coordinate with oncology team.
