Job summary

Amgen seeks a Clinical Sciences Director – Early Development, Oncology, to translate scientific and clinical strategy into executable early-phase studies. You will oversee protocol execution, data review, and quality to deliver decision-ready data.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage external collaborators, and contribute to study concepts, protocols, and governance. Exceptional communication is required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of life sciences/healthcare experience; Master’s 7 years; Bachelor’s 9 years.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• Experience with designing and monitoring oncology early-phase trials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical and scientific SME for oncology; ensure protocol execution and data integrity.
• Monitor and interpret clinical data; identify trends, risks, and issues.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to translate strategy into study concepts and protocols.
• Collaborate with CROs/consultants on key projects and governance.
• Review trial data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
