Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a detail-oriented Oncology Data Specialist to join our remote team. You will abstract and manage clinical oncology data to support national cancer registry reporting and contribute to key quality initiatives across our organization.

In this fully remote role, you will reside in eligible states and ensure accurate data entry into cancer registries while coordinating with Baptist MD Anderson Oncology Leadership to maintain reporting standards and data

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma; Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification preferred or required
• Ability to accurately abstract and interpret clinical data from patient records
• Experience with cancer registry reporting and data quality initiatives

Responsibilities

• Accurately abstract and interpret clinical data from patient medical records to identify and record cancer diagnoses.
• Track oncology patient data from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.
• Input high-quality data into national cancer registries and internal databases.
• Maintain a workflow of abstracting approximately 5 cases per day.
• Collaborate with oncology leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure reporting standards are met.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for accurately abstracting and managing clinical oncology data to support national cancer registry reporting.
