Job summary

Lowcountry Oncology Associates is seeking a Clinical Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care across four clinic locations in Summerville, North Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant. You will collect vital signs, prepare charts, draw labs, and assist providers in exams and procedures.

You will maintain EMR documentation, coordinate patient flow, and perform billing-related tasks while traveling as needed to support oncology and hematology services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred or required within designated time frame.
• Minimum of two years of medical office experience preferred.
• Oncology, hematology, or laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review medical records, lab results, imaging reports and outside records prior to patient visits.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider evaluation.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weight, pain assessments, allergies, and other screening information.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and track patient flow through visits.
• Complete billing-related tasks and clinical documentation accurately and timely.
• Support cross-location staffing and coordinate care with clinic teams.
