Job summary

Nationwide-Children Hospital is seeking a Clinical Medical Social Worker to provide developmentally appropriate psychosocial services to patients and families in accordance with Ohio law and NASW ethics. The role focuses on supporting social, emotional, functional, and physical health through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The position requires an MSW, current LSW license (LISW preferred), and about 2 years of clinical social work experience.

Qualifications

• MSW required.
• LSW licensure required; LISW preferred.
• 2 years clinical social work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provides Clinical Medical Social Work services to patients and families to improve or maintain social, emotional, functional and physical health.
• Provides consultation, education, and training to staff regarding psychosocial issues that impact the delivery of optimal health care services.
• Participates in the development and delivery of education, research and continuous quality improvement.
