Job summary

Texas Oncology in McAllen, TX is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm role, with no weekends or major holidays. The position supports oncology clinical research, offering opportunities to care for patients receiving cutting-edge treatments and to participate in trials.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license in good standing, BSN preferred, and experience in oncology or clinical research.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• BSN preferred.
• Oncology or Research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation
• Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process.
• Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition
• Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements
• Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct
