Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead coordination of oncology clinical trials and research studies within the Duke Cancer Institute’s BRST program. This role requires RN licensure in NC, BLS, and at least 12 months of clinical nursing experience, with oncology/research preference.

The nurse will recruit and consent participants, manage study visits, maintain regulatory documentation, and ensure protocol adherence, data quality, and team mentorship.

Qualifications

• BSN or nursing diploma with NC RN license; BLS.
• 12 months of clinical nursing experience.
• Preference for oncology or research experience.
• Current NC RN status and NC BLS; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage oncology clinical trials and research studies.
• Recruit, screen, enroll participants and obtain informed consent.
• Schedule visits and conduct study procedures.
• Maintain regulatory binders and study documentation.
• Monitor adverse events and report promptly.
• Liaise with PI and study team; ensure protocol compliance.
• Oversee data entry in EDC and data integrity.
• Mentor staff and participate in team activities.
