Job summary

Novartis in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior CPL or CPL to lead strategic medical guidance for oncology programs from preclinical PE/DC through TDP. This hybrid role prefers local onsite candidates.

The role delivers clinical development strategies across the PE/DC to TDP window, integrating pharmacology, toxicology and PK data, and collaborating with Clinical Pharmacology, Biostatistics, and other functions. Strong leadership and communications are essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree required.
• Board-certification in oncology preferred; PhD-level science preferred.
• Fluent English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic medical leadership for oncology programs from preclinical to TDP.
• Develop clinical development strategies spanning PE/DC to TDP with cross-functional input.
• Lead and mentor global project teams in translational oncology and clinical research.
• Integrate preclinical pharmacology, toxicology, and pharmacokinetics with clinical development plans.
• Ensure compliance with GCP and company SOPs; liaise with external experts and regulators.
• Prepare abstracts/manuscripts for presentations/publications.
