Job summary

Gritman Medical Center, Inc. in Moscow, ID, seeks an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to work with physicians, nurses and the care team to ensure safe, effective use of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies and supportive meds in our outpatient oncology/hematology clinic.

You will review orders, manage patient care under a collaborative practice agreement, provide drug information, monitor responses, educate patients, and coordinate with specialty pharmacies and EMR to keep treatment plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current Idaho pharmacist licensure or eligibility within six months of hire.
• Preferred PGY1/PGY2 Oncology residency and BCOP certification.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify oncology infusion orders for accuracy and protocol compliance.
• Independently manage aspects of patient care under a collaborative practice agreement.
• Provide drug information and clinical support to oncologists and nursing staff.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Assist with adverse effects management and supportive care optimization.
• Respond to infusion reaction events and provide patient education on medications.
• Coordinate oral chemotherapy management with specialty pharmacies.
• Respond to pharmacy consult requests and ensure appropriate documentation.
• Oversee aseptic preparation and labeling of chemotherapy and related medications.
