Texas Oncology in Kingwood–Humble, TX seeks a Medical Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team. This full-time role supports the Medical Oncology department with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm schedule, no weekends or major holidays. Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license and current state registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 0-3 years nursing experience, oncology preferred.

Aufgaben

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient and medical history.
• Provide teaching and instructional material to patient/family.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and document in chart.
• Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostics, referrals and next appointments.
• Triages patient calls and document information in chart.
• Coordinate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Assist patients in locating community resources.
• Inter professional collaboration.
• Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
