Job summary

The clinic RN II at MUSC Health works side-by-side with providers using the nursing process to see patients during their clinic visits. Daily tasks include triaging patients, assisting with small procedures, order entry, patient education, and coordinating follow-up care.

Minimum requirements include a BSN preferred; RN with an Associate or Diploma must enroll in BSN within two years and obtain it within four years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years of hire.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Triages patients and assists providers with small procedures.
• Performs order entry and coordinates follow-up care and patient education.
