Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina, in Mount Pleasant, SC, seeks an Ambulatory Registered Nurse II to provide clinical nursing care during patient clinic visits. You will work with the provider team, perform the nursing process, enter orders in EPIC, educate patients, and coordinate care across disciplines.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience. The position is on-site with a 40-hour workweek and a day shift in a hospital-affiliated ambulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN licensure required.
• Minimum of two years of RN experience.
• SC Board of Nursing licensure or compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Oncology chemotherapy certification if independently double-checking chemotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ambulatory patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Lead and direct team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure age-appropriate care.
• Provide patient/family education and coordinate care across the care continuum.
• Document in EMR (EPIC) and manage patient messages, orders, and care coordination.
