Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role leads a multidisciplinary ambulatory oncology team to deliver high-quality patient care, coach staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, you will recruit and develop staff, implement policies, and coordinate care across departments to meet patient safety and service standards. Strong nursing leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise clinicians and manage clinic workflows.
• Deep knowledge of patient care standards, delivery, and policies.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with physicians and staff.
• Commitment to continuing education and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and patient safety goals.
• Develop and implement policies for high-quality care.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and cross-site coverage.
• Lead clinical staff supervision and coordinate with related departments.
