Job summary

Texas Oncology in Cypress, Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The role will support patient care across level I, II or Senior positions based on experience.

The successful candidate will assist physicians, manage patient flow, and maintain clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced oncology setting, with opportunities for LTIP consideration and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• State regulations may require specific certifications for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
• Record patient data prior to visits, including vitals, height, weight, and allergies.
• Obtain patient records as required by physician prior to treatment.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls and relay information to physicians or nurses.
• Enter orders under provider direction as needed.
