Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide skilled patient care in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. You will operate within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Georgia RN license with BLS certification; BSN degree and 2 years of RN experience are preferred, and ACLS/PALS/NRP or other clinical certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing must be licensed RN in GA in good standing
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association
• BSN degree preferred
• Two years of RN experience preferred
• ACLS/PALS/NRP or other unit-specific certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines
• Works within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care
• Collaborates with healthcare team to deliver efficient patient care

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
