Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for an on-site role in Mount Pleasant, TX. You will collaborate with oncologists to deliver comprehensive care, perform histories, order tests, and manage treatment plans.

You will educate patients, coordinate services, and contribute to quality initiatives while upholding clinical and regulatory standards in a team-based, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care to manage complex oncology.
• Experience or training in Critical Care Medicine to support high-acuity patients.
• Background in Emergency Medicine for urgent oncologic issues.
• Licensure as Nurse Practitioner or other Advanced Practice Provider, with Texas eligibility.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in an accredited advanced practice program and current national certification.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive care and regulatory standards.
• Oncology experience or interest in cancer care; prior hematology/oncology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories and physicals for new and ongoing patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as part of treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage symptoms and supportive care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, options, side effects, and follow-up.
• Coordinate services across disciplines and participate in care team rounds.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and comply with standards.
