Job summary

The University of Michigan is hiring for an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) at the Troy Center for Specialty Care. This 1.0 FTE role supports a multidisciplinary oncology clinic with direct patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualified NPs must hold Michigan licensure and NP certification; PAs require ARC-PA accreditation, NCCPA certification, and MI license. Credentialing will be completed prior to start, and resume submission is required.

Qualifications

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
Current specialty certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care/Primary Care NP, Adult NP, FNP or Acute NP).
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by NCSBN.
Current DEA registration.
AHA BLS required.
+2 years of APP oncology experience.
APP experience with multiple oncology diagnoses and oncology emergencies.

Responsibilities

Provide care in a multidisciplinary oncology clinic, including history, exam, orders, and plan of care.
Collaborate with physicians to develop a care plan and educate patients and families.
Manage treatment-related toxicities and disease-related symptoms.
Review labs, pathology, and radiology results; monitor surveillance patients.
