OHC in Eastgate is seeking an experienced Admixture / Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour work week. You will assist with preparing medication orders, verify patient and physician information, and compound drugs under supervision to support state-of-the-art cancer care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three to five years' experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
• IV certification preferred but not required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Board requirement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician.
• Checks all orders for completeness of information; verifies patient information and physician authorization.
• Under direct supervision, admixes drugs as ordered by physician; prepares all drugs within OSHA guidelines.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Maintains temperature logs and protocol drug records; supports inventory control and labeling.
