Job summary

Everforth ECS in Arlington, VA, is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join our hybrid office to support the CISA Databricks platform. You will manage onboarding of datasets, users, and workspaces, bridging technical structures with end-users to ensure secure, compliant access and data usage.

Responsibilities include overseeing onboarding lifecycles, ticket reviews, data ingestion requirements, and defining workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Databricks, Spark) and data lakes.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end onboarding lifecycle for datasets, users, and workspaces on the Databricks platform.
• Monitor and manage ServiceNow tickets for access requests and incidents.
• Gather ingestion requirements, schemas, and usage parameters from data owners.
• Design onboarding workflows and platform architecture diagrams.
• Evaluate data sources for schema consistency and readiness for ingestion.
• Enforce least privilege across all access management and workspace policies.
• Provide high-quality customer service and guide new tenants on access protocols.

Job description

Everforth ECSis seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to work in ourArlington, VAoffice (Hybrid).

We are seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join our team in supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Databricks platform. In this role, you will serve as a primary catalyst for expanding our platform's capabilities by facilitating the onboarding of new datasets, users, workspaces, and analytical use cases. You will bridge the gap between complex technical structures and end-users, ensuring that all access, data structures, and system requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and securely executed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end Databricks platform onboarding lifecycle for new datasets, platform users, tenant workspaces, and critical cybersecurity use cases onto the CISA Databricks platform.
• Actively monitor , review, and manage incoming ServiceNow tickets, ensuring that platform access requests, dataset requirements, and technical incidents are quickly addressed and routed properly.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data owners to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive ingestion requirements, schemas, and usage parameters for incoming datasets.
• D esign, model, and maintain clear onboarding workflows, user journeys, and platform architecture diagrams.
• E valuate incoming data sources, checking for schema consistency, formats, and structural readiness for data and policy alignment before platform ingestion.
• Manage security and access control by s trictly enforc ing the principle of least privilege across all user access management, role configurations, and workspace policies to safeguard sensitive agency data.
• Provide high-quality customer service, acting as a guide for new tenants to ensure they enabled and understand platform access protocols, ingestion steps, and operational guidelines .
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Entry on Duty ( EOD)/Pub lic Trust
• Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience (or 8 years of experience minimum in lieu of degree)
• Prior experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, specifically ServiceNow.
• Exposure to or understanding of cloud-based data platforms, preferably Dat abricks, Apache Spark, or cloud data lakes (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with basic data ana lysis, data profiling, or querying (SQL) to assist with validating datasets during onboarding .
• Strong proficie ncy with Microso ft Visio (or similar mapping tools) for constructing functional process diagrams and platform workflows.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, focusing on the principle of least privilege.
• Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in high-velocity technical queues.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a track record of translating technical requirements to non-technical users.
