Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions seeks an experienced Assistant Engineer dedicated to maintaining our fleet of expedition ships. You will assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining and repairing all vessel systems and operational tasks.

This position demands independence, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rotational schedule of six weeks on, six weeks off.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generation systems.
• Knowledge of fuel centrifuges, air compressors, and plumbing is preferred.
• Experience with Excel and Windows applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in vessel systems maintenance and operation.
• Keep maintenance records updated and comply with regulations.
• Participate in shoreside training as required.
