Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) to support railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads and other clients.

The position requires a High School Diploma and at least 2 years of railroad-related experience, with extensive travel (50–85%). The role demands strong communication, basic computer skills, and knowledge of safety regulations, with opportunities across the continental US, Canada, and Mexico.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills for email, phone and text messaging.
• Proficient in Android OS on tablet and smartphone, and Citrix applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite coordination and clear communication with dispatchers and crews.
• Lead safety briefings and enforce all policies at the job site.
• Submit daily field reports and ensure On-Track Safety compliance.
