Job summary

American Tire Distributors in Norfolk, VA is hiring a non-CDL Delivery Driver responsible for on-time delivery and professional customer interactions, unloading and staging products, and maintaining accurate delivery paperwork. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and strong customer service to build lasting relationships; occasional forklift operation may be required.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience; pay is $18.75 per hour

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma required.
• 1–2 years of related delivery experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all Company safety policies and transportation regulations.
• Verify outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type.
• Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company.
• Unload cargo and stage products at customer's place of business.
• Prepare delivery paperwork for inspection with each shipment and ensure accompanying paperwork.
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all customer interactions and through responsible driving.
• Keep driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy.
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.).
• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.
