Job summary

Stalmic Distributors, Inc. seeks a service technician to help feed communities. You’ll receive on-the-job training to install, repair, and maintain meat room equipment, including wrappers, saws, slicers, dicers, vacuum machines, and grinders.

After training, you’ll travel in the company truck to customer sites to perform preventative maintenance and break/fix repairs. The company offers competitive pay, company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) after one year, six paid holidays,

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and/or equipment repair.
• Meat room equipment experience is a plus.
• Able to travel to customer locations while on the road.
• Must pass drug screen and maintain clean MVR and background.
• Ability to read manuals and write invoices.

Responsibilities

• Service technicians are on the road throughout the week.
• Perform maintenance on meat packaging and processing equipment.
• Repair meat room equipment on break-fix calls from customers.
• Rotate weekends on call with 24HUG pay.
• Work holidays with 24HUG pay.
• Receive a company truck, phone, tablet, and credit card to pay for on-the-road expenses.
• Participate in quarterly goals and strive for shared rewards.

Job description

Here at Stalmic Distributors, Inc., we are on a mission! We feel that it is our purpose to help feed communities, and we are looking for a service technician to join our team to assist us in achieving this mission.
Service techs receive on-the-job training to learn how to install, repair, and maintain meat room equipment. You will learn to repair and perform maintenance on all kinds of meat processing and meat packaging equipment, including, but not limited to, wrappers, saws, slicers, dicers, vacuum machines, and grinders.
Once trained, you will be traveling (in the company truck assigned to you) to customers' locations, all around the area assigned to your warehouse, to install, perform preventative maintenance, and complete break/fix repairs on the customer's meat processing and meat packaging equipment.

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 yearly salary
Qualifications

• Applicant must have and maintain the ability to pass a drug screen
• Applicant must have and maintain a clean MVR
• Applicant must have and maintain a clean background check (your background will not automatically disqualify you from qualifying, but hiding it can).
• Experience in electrical and/or equipment repair is a plus but is not mandatory.
• Having experience where you were working on the road is a bonus but not required (you will be out all week and home for most weekends and holidays).
• Experience with meat room equipment, including in a grocery store, butcher shop, or meat plant, is a plus.
• Being versatile, such as the ability to work independently, as well as working as one with the team, is highly desired.
• Experience working with NetSuite (invoicing, CRM, Employee Center, etc.) is a plus.
• A high school diploma or the equivalent is desired.
• The ability to read a manual and write an invoice is a must.

Responsibilities

• Service technicians are on the road throughout the entire week.
• Service technicians perform maintenance on meat packaging and processing equipment.
• Service technicians will repair the meat room equipment when we receive break-fix calls from our customers.
• Service technicians will rotate being on call for weekends (earning them 24HUG pay) with the other service technicians in their warehouse.
• Service technicians will have the option to work holidays (also earning 24HUG pay).
• They will be assigned a company truck, company phone, and company tablet in order to fully be able to perform their job duties.
• They will also be assigned a company credit card to use to pay for all company-related on-the-road expenses, such as their meals, the hotel rooms they stay in, and the fuel used in the company truck to travel from customer to customer.
• They will also be participating in the company's quarterly goals and will have the chance to earn even more rewards together as a team.
