Job summary

Nexus Water Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Construction Inspector to support water and wastewater projects, inspecting and testing mains, lift stations, and related capital projects to ensure compliance with standards. The role requires coordination with engineers, project managers, and field crews to maintain safety and schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction inspection experience, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of construction experience, preferably related to safety, inspection, distribution, collection system and treatment plant operation.
• Technical training in construction methods and standards related to the water & sewer industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the construction of and oversees testing of water mains, sewer mains, reclaimed mains, force mains and lift stations to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
• Inspects the construction of various capital projects such as treatment plant rehabilitations, gravity sewer lining, manhole rehabilitations, treatment plant expansions/upgrades and utility relocations.
• Maintains routine inspection and progress reports for all assigned projects.
• Coordinates inspections with engineers and contractors.
