Stantec is seeking a full-time Construction Field Inspector to support our Water practice in the Kentucky/Ohio region. The role emphasizes on-site construction observation, safety, and quality management with coordination between engineers, contractors, and clients.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and strong communication skills, plus willingness to travel extensively. A valid driver's license and the ability to work weekends are required as projects demand field presence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; related field education is a plus.
  • Experience with field construction activities and quality management is preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the region with overnight stays and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site safety representative and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Act as liaison between engineer and contractor.
  • Oversee testing and document results per project documents.
  • Monitor progress, issues, and resolutions and report to design team.
  • Maintain daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and non-conformance records.
  • Attend daily/weekly project field meetings.
  • Travel region with overnight stays and some weekend work.
