Job summary

Gulf Coast Authority seeks an experienced Project Manager to support design, operation and construction at regional wastewater treatment facilities in the Houston/Galveston area. You will lead project teams through conceptual development, engineering support, specifications, design documents and purchasing studies on a project basis.

The role requires oversight of organization, scheduling and startup activities, with on‑site responsibilities and reporting to the Assistant Director – General

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of ten years in engineering with five years in project management, design and construction for capital projects.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas preferred or eligible within one year.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, operation and construction activities for wastewater facilities.
• Direct project teams through development, specifications, design documents and procurement documents.
• Oversee scheduling, budget, risk analyses and start‑up activities for capital projects.
• Communicate effectively with facility managers, contractors and sponsors.
