Job summary

DLS Engineering in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Network Administrator II to support the AFINC program on-site at Gunter Annex. You will work with DoD network components to ensure secure and reliable operation of classified and unclassified networks.

Responsibilities include traffic analysis, monitoring, scripting for automation, and documentation of activities. Requires 5+ years of experience, IAT-II and CCNA certifications, and ability to pass a government background check.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
• Intermediate level understanding/experience with Enterprise network architectures is highly desired.
• IAT-II certification is required.
• CCNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or testing updated configurations.
• Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth and report anomalies to Government team leads.
• Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks.
• Review and document workload activities per incident or change request for auditing/investigation purposes.
• Escalate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators.
