Job summary

Sabal Palms Recovery Center in Brooksville, Florida is hiring a Full Time Utilization Review Specialist. This in-person role monitors utilization of services to optimize reimbursement for the facility and supports admissions with pre-certifications.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours, with pay starting at $22 per hour and increases based on experience. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; clinical experience or 2+ years in the population, CPR and de-escalation

Qualifications

• Clinical experience is required, or two or more years' experience with the facility's population.
• Preferred: experience in utilization management.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between managed care organizations and facility staff.
• Conduct reviews of insurance plans for reimbursement requirements.
• Monitor length of stay and inform staff on issues impacting stay.
• Gather data to report utilization, non-certified days, discharges and quality of services.
• Conduct quality reviews for medical necessity and services.
